Messages with buyers
Buyers can message your shop from your shop page (Message shop), from a product page (Ask a question, with the product attached) or from their order (with the order attached). Every conversation lands in your shop's inbox.
Your inbox
On the web, open Messages in your seller menu. The menu shows how many are unread. In the Plukio app, go to Settings, then Messages.
In each conversation you can see that buyer's orders with your shop, and what they asked about. You can also:
- search with Search buyer or item;
- use Mark as unread to come back to a conversation later;
- Report conversation, or report a single message;
- Block the buyer.
Writing to a buyer about an order
You can't start a conversation with just anyone, but you can write to a buyer about their order:
- Open the order in Orders.
- Under Messages, type your message and press Send (or Reply if you've already talked).
The order is attached to your message. If the buyer checked out as a guest, there's no account to message, so use Email the buyer on the order instead.
Blocking a buyer
A buyer you block can't message your shop, and the conversation leaves your inbox. They aren't told, and their orders aren't affected. To unblock someone, go to Settings, then Blocked buyers, and press Unblock. In the app, it's Settings, then Blocked buyers.
Keep it on Plukio
Everyone agrees to the messaging rules before their first message: be kind, keep payments on Plukio, and no spam or scams. Never ask a buyer to pay another way. See Message safety and Blocking and reporting.
When your shop is away or closed
While your shop is paused, buyers can still message you. Once it's closed, they can't send new messages. See Going away.
To choose how you hear about new messages, see Seller emails and notifications.
