Editing in bulk and exporting a CSV
On Your products you can change many products at once, and download your whole catalog as a CSV file.
Change many products at once
- Tick the box next to each product you want to change. The box at the top ticks every product that's loaded on the page, up to 200.
- A bar appears at the bottom of the window. Choose what to do:
- Publish, Move to drafts or Archive happen straight away.
- Change price: Set to a new price, or Raise by or Lower by an amount or a percentage.
- Set stock, Set category, Set shipping profile or Set tax class.
- For a change that needs a value, fill it in. Under What changes you see what will happen to each product before you press the button to apply it.
The bar counts the products as it goes. When it's done, it tells you what changed.
When a product is skipped
Each product is changed on its own, so one that can't change doesn't stop the rest. Skipped products stay ticked, each with the reason under its name. For example:
- A product with more than one variant keeps its stock. Set those one at a time. See Variants.
- A digital product has nothing to ship, so it gets no shipping profile.
- A price change can't take a price to zero or below, more than 90% down, or more than 500% up.
- Publish skips products that can't be published yet. See Why can't I publish?
If a raise takes a price up to its compare-at price, that product's sale ends.
Export your catalog as a CSV
Press Export CSV at the top of Your products. The file opens in any spreadsheet app, and it's in Shopify's product CSV layout, so Shopify can import it as it is. It has one row for each variant, with its price, compare-at price, stock, SKU, tags, category and photo links.
- Archived products are left out, unless you press Export CSV on the Archived tab, which exports everything.
- Download files are never in the export.
- You can export up to 5 times in 10 minutes.
Note
You can't import a CSV into Plukio yet. Bulk editing and Export CSV are on the website only.
