Going away: pausing your shop

If you need a break, pause your shop instead of closing it. Buyers can't buy while you're away, but they can still find your page, follow you and message you.

Pause your shop

  1. Go to Settings.
  2. Under Taking a break, press Pause and your shop's name.
  3. If you like, pick When you're back. It can be up to 90 days ahead. Below it, you'll see what buyers will read, such as "Away. Back in 5 days."
  4. Press Pause and your shop's name again to confirm.

Pausing is done on the web, not in the Plukio app.

What pausing does

  • Your listings and checkout come off Plukio until you resume.
  • Your shop page stays up, with a line saying you're away.
  • Nothing is deleted, and you can still edit everything.
  • Orders you still have to ship aren't changed. Ship them as usual.
  • Your plan keeps running while you're away. If it renews on its own, you can turn auto-renew off from the pause dialog.

The return date doesn't reopen your shop

The date only tells buyers when to expect you. Your shop stays away until you resume it. On the return date we email you a reminder. From that day on, buyers see "Away for now" until you resume.

To move or clear the date, press Change return date in Settings.

Resume your shop

Press Resume and your shop's name, in Settings or on your dashboard. Everything you had published comes back.

Note

You can only resume while Stripe is taking payments for you. If it isn't, finish your Stripe setup first. See Connecting Stripe.

"Not taking orders right now"

If Stripe turns payments off for your account, buyers see "Not taking orders right now" on your shop, even though you didn't pause. We email you when this happens. Finish what Stripe asks for, and checkout comes back.

Want to stop for longer? See Closing your shop.
