Taxes, customs and duties on your order

What checkout charges

The total on a maker's card in your Bag is the items plus shipping to the country you picked, and that's what Stripe charges you, in the maker's currency. Plukio's checkout doesn't add sales tax, VAT or GST on top.

The maker is the seller, and Plukio's Terms say that each maker is responsible for the taxes on their own sales.

Customs, duties and tariffs

Checkout doesn't collect import duty, customs fees or tariffs. If any are due when a parcel from another country reaches you, they aren't part of what you paid on Plukio. Your order page shows where a piece Ships from. If you're not sure, ask the maker before you buy.

Buying for a business

Stripe's checkout page has a place for a business name and tax ID. It's kept with your order's tax records, and it doesn't change the price.

Some makers show their legal name, address and tax number on your receipt. When they do, your confirmation email and your order page include a line that starts Sold by.

What Plukio keeps for tax

Tax laws in many places ask a marketplace to keep evidence of where each sale went. For each order we keep the shipping and billing addresses you gave, any business tax ID, and a few details of your payment and connection, for 10 years. Sellers don't see these records. The Privacy Policy lists them all.
