Scent houses and shave houses

Plukio keeps two directories for makers whose shops are all about scent:

• Scent houses: independent perfumers, and decant shops that sell samples of other houses' perfumes.
• Shave houses: wet-shaving makers who sell shaving soap, splash and balm.

Plukio decides which shops belong in each from what they sell, and a shop's owner can correct it. A shop's page shows a Scent house, Decant shop or Shave house badge when it's one of them.

The directories

Each directory has one card per house, with where it is, a line about it, the scent families it works in and the kinds of thing it sells. Browse by note at the bottom links to pages for notes many houses share, like everything with vanilla in it.

A house's scent list

Every house has a Scent list: everything it makes, A to Z, with each scent's notes, the forms it comes in and the lowest price. Open it from the house's card, or from the Scent list tab on the house's shop page.

On the scent list you can:

• Search scents and notes to find a name or a note.
• Narrow to one scent family, or to one kind of product, like perfume or shave.
• Jump to a letter (not on a decant shop's list).
• Tick In stock only to hide sold-out scents.

Unlike the rest of Plukio, a scent list shows sold-out scents by default, greyed out, so you can see a house's whole range.

Is a house missing?

If you know a perfumer or shave maker with their own website, suggest it.

In the apps

Start typing in the search box in the Shop tab. When shops match, links to Scent houses and Shave houses appear beside the Shops heading. A house's scent list has an In stock chip that works the same way as on the web.
