Prices in your currency
Shops on Plukio sell in many currencies. Plukio can show you every price in one currency, so you can compare them.
What ≈ means
A price marked ≈ is an estimate in your currency, worked out with the day's reference exchange rate and rounded to a whole number. Nobody is charged that figure. The shop's own price is shown beside it.
If a shop already prices in your currency, you see its price exactly, with no ≈. If Plukio's exchange rate is out of date, you see only the shop's own price.
Changing your currency
You need to be signed in. Until you are, prices show in US dollars.
On the web:
- Go to Settings.
- Under Currency, choose a currency from Show prices in.
- Press Save.
In the apps: go to Settings, then Prices, then Currency, and tap the one you want.
Plukio offers US dollars and 29 other currencies: the ones it has daily exchange rates for.
Which currency do I pay in?
The shop's. You pay each shop in its own currency, at the price on its own website or checkout. Plukio's ≈ figure is only a guide, so what you're charged in your own currency can differ a little from it.
Prices in search filters
The Min and Max price boxes in search are in your currency, and prices from shops
in other currencies are converted so they can be compared. A price you type into the
search box itself, like under 50, is read as US dollars. See
Searching Plukio.
Language and location
Plukio is in English only, and it has no location setting. Your currency is the only regional setting.
