Why is my shop on Plukio?
Plukio is a search engine for independent shops. It lists shops that sell on their own websites, so shoppers can search many of them in one place. Your shop is on Plukio because someone suggested it, or we found it ourselves.
How Plukio gets your listings
Plukio's crawler, PlukioBot, reads the pages your shop already shows the public. It fetches:
- your public product listings and sitemap,
- your homepage, to read your shop's name and description, and
- your
robots.txt, which it always follows, including Crawl-delay.
It works on Shopify, Squarespace, Payhip, Fourthwall, WooCommerce and Big Cartel shops.
There's no Plukio app to install, on Shopify or anywhere else, and no account for us to connect to. PlukioBot never places orders and never reads customer data. We never see your orders, customers or payouts, because nothing we do could reach them. Your content is never used to train AI models.
What it means for you
- Buyers buy from you. Every Buy click sends the shopper to your own store, so the payment and the customer are yours.
- Being listed is free. There are no listing fees and no commission.
- Changes catch up. Plukio checks back regularly, so when you change a price or a listing on your site, Plukio follows.
Is it really PlukioBot?
PlukioBot names itself in every request it makes. plukio.com/bot shows exactly how, and how to check that a request really came from us.
Don't want to be listed?
You can take your shop off Plukio with one robots.txt rule, or one email, with no
account and no reason needed. See Removing your shop.
If your shop is just you
Your shop's name, description, location and web address can also be information about you. plukio.com/bot has the data protection notice that covers this, and the Privacy Policy explains your rights.
